Running telehealth sessions

In AdvancedMD, providers can find the Telehealth link in the appointment details section of the appointment card.

This article covers starting and ending telehealth sessions from within the EHR. It provides a video and step-by-step guidance for joining a telehealth session and what to do in the event of technical difficulties.

Guided steps

Starting a telehealth session

To start a telehealth session from your calendar:

  1. Log into the EHR and click Home > Scheduler
  2. Find the appointment and click on it
  3. In the comments section, highlight and copy the linkScreenshot 2024-02-27 at 11.31.14 AM.png
  4. To join the session, paste the link into a web browser. This will open the Zoom session.

Rejoining a call

If there’s a technical glitch or the call gets disconnected:

  1. Rejoin the call by exiting Zoom
  2. Navigate back to the appointment on your calendar in the EHR
  3. Open a new browsing window
  4. Copy and paste the link again

Non-working Zoom link

If your Zoom link is not working, you can submit an escalation using the Psychiatric Services Providers' form under Web Links in AMD.
