Medicaid Enrollment and Eligibility Guide - Georgia

This guide is intended to assist psychiatric providers in completing requirements to be able to see patients covered by Managed Medicaid Plans in the State of Georgia. 

Note: Providers receive their standard reimbursement rates for new-client intakes insured under Managed Medicaid. You’ll still be paid if a patient cancels or no-shows. 

In order to become eligible to see these patients, please complete the steps below:

1. Complete Rula's Fraud, Waste & Abuse course. Here’s how.
2. Please enroll in Georgia's Medicaid program. Follow these instructions.

   2. Go to: www.mmis.georgia.gov to start the application. 
   3. Complete the following Rula-specific information where prompted (this is also noted in the step-by-step guide linked above in red text):

   5. Supporting Documentation - when you get to this section, you’ll be asked to upload a Power of Attorney (POA) for payee. Please complete this POA form with your signature, get it notarized, and upload it to the application
3. Once you’ve submitted your application, share your Georgia Medicaid Application Tracking Number (ATN) and Access Code with Rula (form to submit here).
