Completing measurement-informed care (MIC) assessments during patient sessions

Measurement-Informed Care (MIC) enables providers to evaluate patient progress and enhance treatment outcomes using standardized measures. This guide outlines two methods for completing MIC assessments during patient sessions.

Guided Steps

Method 1: Completing Assessments from the Client Chart

  1. Access the Client’s Chart:
    • Navigate to the client’s chart in the provider portal.
    • Locate the Next Appointment section on the right-hand side.
  2. Check Assessment Status:
    • If the patient has not completed their measurements, you will see a message: “Your client has outstanding measures.”
    • The Remind button will be displayed until the session start time.
  3. Complete the Assessment:
    • Once the session begins, the Remind button will change to Complete.
    • Click Complete to administer the assessment with the patient during the session.

Method 2: Completing Assessments from a Progress Note

  1. Open the Progress Note:
    • Start a new progress note from the session list.
  2. Locate Measures:
    • On the left-hand side of the note, in the list of sections for your progress note, you will see a section called "Measures".
  3. Administer the Assessment:
    • Click the link to access and administer the assessment with the patient.
