Viewing unfinished and past due notes in the Rula provider portal

This article will cover how to view clinical documentation that is due or overdue in the To-Do tab of the Rula provider portal. Session notes must be completed, signed, and submitted to generate a charge. If you have an unfinished or overdue note, it's important to complete the note to get paid.

Guided Steps

To view your unfinished and overdue notes:

  1. Log into the provider portal
  2. Click on the To-do tab, located on the menu on the left side of the page.
  3. Find the patient you need to complete the note for.
    • Notes Due Soon: Notes that have not been submitted, but remain within the 48-hour submission window following service completion.
    • Overdue Notes: Notes that have not been submitted, but are now beyond the 48-hour submission deadline following service completion.
  4. Click Complete note next to the name of the patient you want to complete the note for.
    • This will take you directly to the note in the client's chart.
  5. Once complete, click Sign note
  6. Confirm your electronic signature, then click Sign and submit note

Once the note is submitted, it cannot be edited. The signed note will generate a charge and be billed to your patient. No further action is needed.

Prescription Notifications

You can also view prescription notifications that are pending your review from the To-Do tab in the provider portal. By clicking Pharmacy requests, you'll be taken out of the Rula provider portal and directed to DrFirst to perform any ePrescribing actions, such as refill requests.
