In this article, we will cover how providers can manage their location preferences directly through the Practice Details section of the Profile tab in the Rula provider portal. Doing so will allow you to set the location and to control whether your location is visible to prospective clients.
Where Practice Locations Appear
If you choose to display your practice location, it will appear in your patient-facing profile on Rula's provider directory as the city and state in which you are located. This helps potential clients understand where you are located. You can opt out of showing your location at any time.
How to Add or Update a Practice Location
- Log in to the Rula Provider Portal
- From the left-hand menu, select the Profile Tab
- Click Practice Details
- Click Edit next to Where I practice
- Click Save to update your location settings
Updating or Removing Your Location Later
You can update your location settings at any time. This includes:
- Changing your city, zip code, or in-person address
- Opting out of displaying your location
- Enabling or disabling the ability to offer in-person sessions
Opt-out of location sharing
- Log in to the Rula Provider Portal
- From the left-hand menu, select the Profile Tab
- Click Bio
- Click Edit next to Location on Bio
- Check the box Do not show my location on my provider profile to keep it hidden from your public profile
